imgYoung people are involved in various issues as diverse as Environment to Climate Change to Volunteerism to Politics to Entrepreneurship etc.  Their involvement in these issues is both of the demands made upon them and their innate urge to make change. Young people who had problem and were looking for solutions got together at the Civic Concern Workshop organized by Youth Initiative at Public Information Center, kathmandu on May 29, 2010. The workshop is a monthly effort of Youth Initiative to groom future leaders who have problem but more importantly want to be part of the solution rather then that of the problem.

The participants for the workshop were young people involved in various fields of studies. The session dealt with problem identification, discussion to mapping out solutions. The participants got the opportunity to not only discuss about the problems and its effect but also pondered on ways to effectively solve the problem at hand. A session on Right To Information was also carried out which informed participants about the ways they could participate in the state affairs and the privileges’ that state has given upon them. After having identified the problem and discovering the possible ways that young people could interfere, a workable action plans was developed by the participants related to informing young people about leadership and cleaning program.
