Youth Initiative regularly organizes discussion where different distinguished personalities are invited to discuss on the contemporary matters. The main aim of such discussion is to develop critical recommendation for policy makers.
Mr. Khagendra Sangroula, a prominent political analyst of Nepal was invited at YI office on Bichar Adda, a weekly talk show program (September 17, 2016 ) to talk on ‘Nepali politics and crisis of ethics among politicians’.
During the program, Mr. Sangroula highlighted the ethics of Nepali politicians and growing corruptions in the country. He also talked about the choosing the best candidate in the election and also urged young people to carefully judge political candidate while casting votes.
He focused on impunity, frequent change of government, corruptions, and policy loopholes are the major hurdles in achieving development target in Nepal.
There were around 22 participants in the program and all of them listened interestingly what Mr. Sangroula said. Participants asked question about the role of youth in mitigating ethics crisis, corruption and Mr. Sangroula interestingly answered the question. Mr.Sangroula even urged youth to critical judge the leaders rather falling on the ‘vanilla’ side of leader’s attitude.
